A Few Words About Karen
Hi I'm Karen Mason and here I share a little bit more about me...
I am an experienced coach, facilitator and consultant with a unique blend of business and commercial experience developed in the private sector.
I’ve enjoyed the success and challenge of being a business leader for much of my working life. A successful career with BAE Systems, performing an exciting range of management roles within tough business environments provided my working focus for over 20 years. Working with senior leaders and reporting to board members, I experienced the demands faced by leaders and managers operating in today’s rapidly changing business environment. With many role changes during my corporate career… some due to personal development, some due to reorganisation, and some due to personal circumstances, all requiring me to demonstrate flexibility, deal with change and optimise my performance.
Recognising the value of my business experience and talent for developing others, in 2007 I decided to establish Karen Mason Associates. My focus to work with senior leaders and mangers helping them value the diversity of talent within their organisation, equipping them to manage well and turn that talent into performance. My genuine interest in others, along with creative enthusiasm underpins a style which is a blend of warmth and challenge, structure and collaboration.
With a Masters in Business Administration, a post graduate Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring and as a qualified NLP Trainer and qualified Time to Think Facilitator, I have developed a professional rigour that underpins all my work. Keeping current is important to me and so I am an active member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council, the Charted Institute of Personnel and Development and Time to Think Collegiate.
... and in my spare time?
Well, I'm currently learning to play tennis in an attempt to keep up with my two boys, Aaron and Rhys... as a family we enjoy cycling and fell walking. I love yoga, personal development, along with cooking a good meal and occasional glass of Pinot Grigio with friends!
